What’s in a name? Quite a bit believes transportation vendor Insight Network Transportation, as it switched its name to ShipCarsNow late August for its auto transportation services.

ShipCarsNow is an eStore, allowing users to order and track their transportation needs online. When I was speaking with Jeff Grandstaff, general manager, a few weeks back, he described the site’s appeal as providing greater transparency to users and simplifying the transportation process overall. ShipCarsNow, a Union Pacific Company, integrates rail and truck transport services.

What's on tap for ShipCarsNow? Grandstaff mentioned his company is exploring offshore moves.
